SMS Terms and Conditions

These SMS Terms and Conditions (“SMS Terms”) govern your participation in the Kevin Block Law Office SMS Appointment Reminder Program. By opting in to receive SMS messages, you agree to these terms.

1. Program Description

Program Name: Kevin Block Law Office Appointment Reminder System

Purpose: This SMS program provides automated text message reminders for scheduled consultations and appointments with Kevin Block Law Office. The program is designed to help you remember upcoming appointments and reduce missed consultations.

Program Benefits:

• Receive timely reminders about your scheduled consultations
• Get appointment confirmation via text message
• Convenient notification directly to your mobile phone
• Reduce risk of missing important legal consultations

2. Message Frequency

You will receive 1-2 text messages per scheduled consultation:

• Confirmation Message: Sent shortly after you book an appointment
• Reminder Message: Sent 24 hours before your scheduled consultation

Message frequency will vary based on how many appointments you schedule. If you have no upcoming appointments, you will not receive messages.

3. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Standard text messaging rates from your mobile carrier will apply to each message sent and received. Check with your mobile carrier for details about your specific plan.

Kevin Block Law Office does not charge for SMS messages, but your carrier may charge based on your plan.

4. Supported Carriers

This service is available on the following mobile carriers:

• AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint
• Boost, Cricket, Metro PCS, U.S. Cellular, Virgin Mobile
• And other major U.S. carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

5. How to Opt-In

You can opt-in to receive SMS appointment reminders through the following methods:

Website Opt-In

When scheduling a consultation through our website, you may check a box that states: “I agree to receive appointment reminder texts from Kevin Block Law Office. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt-out.”

Phone Opt-In

When scheduling a consultation by phone, our staff will ask: “Would you like to receive appointment reminder texts? Message and data rates may apply, and you can opt-out anytime by replying STOP.” Your verbal consent will be documented.

Consent Requirement: By opting in, you:

• Confirm the mobile number provided is your own
• Agree to receive automated SMS appointment reminders
• Acknowledge that consent is not a condition of purchasing legal services
• Understand you can opt-out at any time

6. How to Opt-Out

You may opt-out of SMS messages at any time by using one of the following methods:

Text STOP

Reply STOP to any SMS message you receive from us. You will receive a confirmation message that you have been unsubscribed.

Contact Our Office

Call or email our office and request to be removed from SMS appointment reminders.

After Opting Out:

• You will no longer receive appointment reminder texts
• You will still receive legal services without interruption
• You may still receive appointment confirmations via email or phone
• You can opt back in at any time by contacting our office

For assistance with SMS messages, you can:

Reply HELP to any SMS message to receive support information.

You will receive the following response:

“Kevin Block Law Office Appointment Reminders. 1-2 msgs per appointment. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt-out. Help: 808-446-5663 or liz@immigrationlawmaui.com”

8. Privacy and Data Security

Your privacy is important to us. Information collected through this SMS program is governed by our Privacy Policy.

While we strive for reliable delivery, SMS messages may be delayed or undelivered due to:

• Carrier network issues
• Phone being turned off or out of service
• Phone number changes
• Spam filtering by carriers

You are responsible for attending scheduled appointments regardless of whether you receive SMS reminders.

10. User Responsibilities

By participating in this program, you agree to:

• Provide an accurate mobile phone number
• Notify us immediately if your phone number changes
• Ensure your mobile device is capable of receiving SMS messages
• Pay any message and data charges from your carrier
• Not hold Kevin Block Law Office liable for carrier charges
• Use the service in accordance with these terms

11. Changes to Service

12. Termination

14. Limitation of Liability

Kevin Block Law Office shall not be liable for:

• Carrier charges or fees
• Delayed, failed, or misdirected messages
• Damages arising from participation in this program
• Third-party actions (carriers, device manufacturers)

15. Third-Party Service Provider

SMS messages are delivered through Twilio, a third-party messaging service provider. Twilio’s terms and policies also apply to message delivery.

16. Compliance

• CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices
• Cellular carrier guidelines
• 10DLC (10-Digit Long Code) registration requirements

17. Governing Law

These SMS Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii and applicable federal law.

18. Severability

If any provision of these SMS Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

19. Entire Agreement

These SMS Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and general Terms of Service, constitute the entire agreement regarding the SMS Appointment Reminder Program.
